Today's opera
The Met's current performance of Puccini's Tosca is getting rave reviews. All I know of it is what I've heard by listening online. And I find it the most powerful I've ever heard. Tosca's killing of Scarpia is superb stuff. It's so dead-on that the audience sits in total silence for several seconds after it's over.
